We had a fantastic time staying here with friends. Butch was incredibly welcoming, and we truly felt like part of the community. The breakfast was top-notch, and we enjoyed visiting the local airfield and nearby spots. Definitely try the homemade steak pie, it's a must!
Unfortunately, we wished the kitchen had stayed open later for dinner options, which left us scrambling a bit for food alternatives.

easy access to parks and local landmarks just steps away
My stay was conveniently located just a few steps from a great local café and under 2 km from the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre, making my city strolls incredibly enjoyable and hassle-free, complemented by the warm hospitality I received from the staff, who truly made me feel at home with hearty breakfasts to kickstart my mornings. the only drawback was that the bathroom could use some updates for a better experience, but overall it did not detract from my wonderful time exploring the area.

A warm welcome in Metheringham
Our stay at Star And Garter was delightful, with Butch's fantastic hospitality making us feel right at home. The breakfast was hearty and perfectly cooked, setting us up for the day.
While our overall experience was wonderful, the kitchen closed earlier than expected, leaving us a bit stranded for dinner options. Thankfully, Butch assisted us in finding nearby dining.
